ARDC Review Board Recommends 3 year suspension for lawyer who had sex with client

Filed October 30:

The case is captioned, In re Robert Bless, 2010 PR 00133. The basis for the sanction was the sexual relationship and efforts by the lawyer to cover up the relationship by encouraging the client to give false information to the ARDC.

The lawyer also engaged in multiple improper financial transactions with the client, including loans from the lawyer to the client.

The Review Board recommended a three-year suspension and until further order of court. After three years, the lawyer will have to petition for reinstatement.
