Another Lawyer Borrows Money From A Client – With Predictable Results

BEFORE THE HEARING BOARD:

In re James Paul Greene, 2014 PR 00176

The lawyer is accused by the ARDC of borrowing $10,000 from an estate planning client without advising her to retain separate counsel. The loan was not documented and the lawyer allegedly did not provide the client with any collateral.

A violation of Rule 1.8 is alleged.
